Four bound journals and day books containing daily entries for cash transactions and accounts for goods sold and services.
Three of the journals appear to be property of or related to C. Agostini General Merchandise, a store located in San Andreas,
California. One of the journals (volume 1) has a large blue ink stamp on the first page that reads, in part, " ... C. Agostini,
dealers in General Merchandise, wines, liquors, cigars, etc.". One of the day books (volume 2) has instructions on how to
keep the books mounted on the inside back cover. Another day book (volume 3) has handwriting on the inside front cover that
includes the name, "F. Agostini". The largest one (volume 4) is unlikely to be the property of C. Agostini as the handwriting
in it is substantially poorer than in the others and has no other corroborating information in it such as names or place.
